A brass Royal Enfield bicycle badge, believed to date from the 1930s. 60mm hole centres.
Royal Enfield’s bicycle-making roots lie in Redditch, Worcestershire. In 1891, Bob Walker Smith and Albert Eadie purchased George Townsend & Co., which had begun manufacturing bicycles. The Royal Enfield name and the familiar ‘Made Like A Gun’ trademark were introduced on their bicycles in 1894.
