Torpedo Motor Bicycle.

The Torpedo.

In 2015; I had an idea. It was to build a powered bicycle from scratch. A machine that had the spirit of the early velodrome racers which once thrilled the crowds on Parisian boarded tracks before the first war. Instead of trying to over engineer the build, I wanted to make it as light as possible & utilise the power of a small two stroke unit of just 50cc. It was to be as light as possible and with long wheelbase geometry. The result is what you see here. In May 2017, I was lucky enough to be allowed access to the historic Montlhery autodrome in Paris to test the machine at speed on the famous banking. Never to be repeated, the bike handled and performed better than expected during my 9 laps. Afterwards, I found a quite spot under the trees at the track to take these atmospheric images. An experience I shall never forget. Contact us if you would like further information.
